Subject: Touring Holiday

Some college friends of mine are visiting your area for a week-long touring holiday. They would like to explore the local area and learn about its history. Could you tell me about some places they could visit? Also, what is the best way to get around — by car, bike, or coach?

Hi David,

It’s great to hear from you! I’m excited your friends are visiting Málaga – it’s the perfect place for a touring holiday. Let me fill you in with some ideas!

First of all, they shouldn’t miss the historic centre, which stands on a lively area full of charming streets and impressive monuments like the Alcazaba which is a Muslim fortresses in Spain and the Roman Theatre being built in the in the 1st century when Malaga was a Roman province.  Everything is within easy walking distance, so it’s really a piece of cake to explore on foot.

I would definitely recommend renting a car. It doesn’t break the bank and will allow them to visit places like Ronda and Nerja, which are stunning. Traveling by coach is also possible, but it might be less flexible. Bikes are fun, but only for short distances

About money, Málaga is great because it won’t cost an arm and a leg to enjoy delicious tapas. They can save for a rainy day by choosing local cafés, and the food is mouth-watering!

If your friends are social butterflies, they’ll love hanging out at Muelle Uno by the port. I’m sure they’ll be over the moon with their trip!

Hope this cheers you up.
Let’s catch up soon!

Best wishes,

Yolanda
